Frequently asked questions

Questions from immigration professionals about immi.directory.

Is listing on immi.directory free?

Yes. Claiming and managing your profile is free for all registered professionals. There are no fees and no subscription required.

Can I remove my listing?

No. Your listing is sourced from the official CICC or OMARA register and reflects public registration data. If your registration is cancelled or expires, your listing is marked accordingly and removed from public search results.

What if my registered email address has changed?

Update your email with CICC or OMARA first. Once their register is updated and we next sync (usually within a few days), the new email will be on file and you can use it to claim or log in.

How long does a claim token last?

Tokens expire after 48 hours. If yours expires before you use it, simply request a new one by clicking Manage your profile on your profile page and entering your registered email again.

My email address on the register is wrong — what do I do?

Contact CICC or OMARA to correct it. We cannot modify the email address on your listing as it comes directly from the register.

Can I dispute or respond to a review?

Yes. Once your profile is claimed, you can flag any review for moderation. Demonstrably false or defamatory reviews are removed. You can also reply to approved reviews publicly.

My contact details are wrong — how do I fix them?

Details like your name, credential number, phone, and registration status must be corrected through CICC or OMARA first. Once updated on the official register, we sync the change automatically. You can add your bio, practice areas, and languages directly after claiming.

How often is the register data updated?

We sync CICC and OMARA data regularly. Status changes — such as a cancellation or new registration — typically appear within a few days of the official register being updated.

How do clients find my profile?

Clients search by name, credential number, city, language, or practice area. Having a complete profile — bio, practice areas, languages — significantly improves your visibility in filtered searches.

What is the profile score shown on my listing?

The registry score reflects completeness based on data from the official register: contact details, how long you have been registered, discipline history, and whether you have claimed your profile. It is not an endorsement or rating of your work.

I claimed my profile but my session has expired. How do I log back in?

Go to your profile page and click Manage your profile. Enter your registered email to receive a fresh token, then paste it at immi.directory/manage/login.

Will my information be shared with third parties?

No. Information you add to your profile (bio, practice areas, languages) is displayed publicly on immi.directory only. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

How do client reviews work?

Once your profile is claimed, clients can leave community reviews or verified client reviews. All reviews are held for 24 hours before appearing publicly — giving you time to respond or raise a dispute. You will receive an email when a new review is submitted. Manage all reviews at immi.directory/manage/reviews.

What is a verified client review?

A verified client badge confirms the reviewer had a paid engagement with you. Reviewers apply for the badge by emailing [email protected] with a receipt or service agreement. See immi.directory/reviews/verify for the full process.

Can I respond to a review?

Yes. Log in to immi.directory/manage/login and go to Reviews. Use the Respond panel to write a public reply. Your response appears below the review, visible to all profile visitors.

How do I dispute a false or defamatory review?

Log in, go to Reviews, and use the Dispute panel. Disputed reviews are hidden from your profile immediately while we investigate. We aim to resolve disputes within 5 business days. See immi.directory/reviews/dispute for full details.
