Privacy Policy

What information we collect
- Professional listings: We display names, credential numbers, registration status, contact details, and business information sourced from public government registers (CICC for Canada, OMARA for Australia). This data is publicly available from those registers.
- Review submissions: When you submit a review, we collect the review text, star ratings, and optionally an email address. Your email address and IP address are immediately one-way hashed (SHA-256) — we cannot reverse these hashes or identify you from them. We never store your email or IP in plain text.
- Claim requests: When a professional claims their profile, we collect and hash their email address for token issuance. We do not store the plain-text email after hashing.
- Server logs: Our web server records standard HTTP access logs (IP address, timestamp, URL, HTTP status). These are retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes.
Why we collect it
- Reviewer email and IP hashes — to prevent duplicate reviews from the same person.
- Claim email hash — to issue a one-time access token to the professional who owns a listing.
- Server logs — security monitoring and abuse detection.
How long we keep it
Review records (hashed, no personal identifiers) are retained while the review is live. Server logs are deleted after 30 days. Claim tokens expire after 48 hours. We do not retain any personal data beyond what is listed here.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, trade, or share personal information with third parties. Professional listing data is republished from public government registers and is already publicly available. Our hosting infrastructure is provided by Hostinger (EU-based servers).
Your rights (Australia)
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you, and to request correction of inaccurate information. Because reviewer data is stored only as hashes, we cannot identify which hashed record corresponds to you — meaning we cannot retrieve or delete it by request. For professional listing data, corrections must first be made through CICC or OMARA (the source of record), after which our next scheduled refresh will reflect the change.
Your rights (Canada)
Under PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act), Canadian residents have the right to access and correct personal information held about them. The same limitations on hashed reviewer data apply as described above. Contact us to make a request.
